Working Hard vs Working Smart

In my previous life of corporate it was so often seen that the only way people where deemed a “good employee” was if they arrived early and worked late. I used to get to the office at 7am and leave at 7pm with a hour drive each way – So 6am to 8pm out of the house.

As an entrepreneur and owner of my own company now, I have worked hard to change this narrative. If I set myself a list of tasks to complete and get them done by 3pm I will stop working. I will take a day off in the week when my husband is off from work. But the reason I can do this is because I have build a business that works on a solid system.

I can automate so much that I can earn money even when I am not at my desk. I can create social media engagement, sell places on my program, upload videos for my students and be lining up 1:1 coaching clients all at the same time, without any input from me.

So what is working hard vs working smart, to me this is the differences

Working Hard

  • Long hours
  • Low outputs
  • Tried, burnt out
  • Missing important moments

Working Smart

  • Automating your business
  • Working on key deliverable to move forward
  • Having time for self care
  • Taking time off without impacting the money flow (So you don’t have to choose)

Which sound like the business you want?

I have created an eBook that covers the 7 stage Blueprint to Business Success. It gives you all the key elements to building the business that works for you, rather than you having to work for it.

If you want to download it – follow this link: https://mailchi.mp/clarkelearning.co.uk/e-book

It will help you start the process to taking your business to the next level and help you start to define your customer and products in a way that can be automated. And will also show you the future steps that you need to consider. Like software platforms I use, testing products for the best automation and the full launch sequence if you want to launch a product or service online.

Once we automate, we can then focus on working towards hiring teams to look after the automation, freeing us up as owners to focus on the next big thing or just to enjoy the level of success and life it allows us.

Remember work smart not hard!
