Can A funnel sales strategy ever be truly repeatable?

Honestly, a strategy will never last forever, but that doesn’t mean you can’t build a strategy for 6 months, 12 months, maybe even 18 months depending on your business! So it is something to consider.

Repeatable strategies give you the luxury of earning money with more ease. Because you know exactly how the plan works. And you just repeat it! But first, you have to build the best plan.

So I’m going to take you through:

  • Why you need one?
  • What does good look like?
  • The pitfalls most business owners fall into!
  • The easiest steps to create your own.

This is going to be JAM-PACKED so buckle up.

Why do you need a repeatable strategy?

I think it is all about ease. Having something repeatable means you know what you need to do to make money, it is easy to turn on the steps of the process and make money. This could be either hands-off or hands-on (with live elements). But the key to repeatable is that nothing changes in each launch or sales cycle.

One of the things I see so many small business owners doing wrong is creating NEW things all the time. New freebies, new offers, new masterclass, new methods. It is like they feel the need to play to “shiny object syndrome”. And this leads them to poor results and burnout. I would know I made the mistake when I first started!

The key (as you will have heard me say) is to do one thing really well and become known for it! (Like if your business is stuck and you are frustrated, I am your lady!) And creating a repeatable strategy is a good way to focus your mind and your customer’s minds. When you know you are creating content, emails, products, or services that will be used time and time again, it is easy to give more time to creation.

What does good look like?

The main aim is to build out each stage of the funnel to launch it repeatedly. This means regardless of dates, time of year, and with minimal changes needed. It is about having all the elements in place to move an ideal customer from not knowing you, to buying from you!

The Social Media to engage customer in:

So the example of a repeatable strategy would including having a way to engaging customers into your funnel – like ads, social media content that you know works, or an outsources strategy like an agency that direct messages on your behalf. The key question here is how much money vs time or energy do you want to spend at this point. Having an outsourcing agency or using ads would cost money, but if you know your funnel makes you money then this is a fair trade. Using your own content can work well for some people, but this takes more effort, so I would recommend this is the starting point but once you are making money invest in an easier strategy.

The freebies that starts the process:

This social media content would push your ideal customers to download a freebie. This can be hands-on (Masterclass, Webinar, Challenge) or hands-off (PDF, mini video course, checklist), depending on what you are selling you can decide which is best. I personally use a PDF that pushes clients to my low ticket £97 Power Plan your Business Course (3hrs to build your perfect business plan). I use a Live Masterclass that pushes into my Burnout to Balance Program (a 12-week group coaching program that starts at £1,500 investment)

Then the Emails:

This is important in the process. You want to create reusable emails that can be sent as soon as someone signed up. The Power Plan emails are set up to run all the time with no changes, as this funnel is on most of the time. The Masterclass emails require small changes every 3 months. This is because the live date changes. Everything else staying the same, but the dates on the emails change which is easy to give to a VA! A nice touch in emails is to include videos, especially if you don’t have a live element.

You will always have two types of emails – your welcome sequence that helps people get to know, like, and trust you. Then you will have your offer sequence. These emails will promote and sells your offer. They can run on from each other or there can be a short break in the middle depending on your timeline. My Power Plan sequence is one set of emails. The Masterclass has two sets, one before and one after the live session.

Sales pages.

In order to have a repeatable funnel, you need to have a sales page that someone can buy from. This means that whenever the offer email is read the person can take action. Meaning you can earn money in your sleep! A good sales page should include the logistics but more importantly, it needs to talk to the emotion or transformation. You want to build a page that could convert completely cold traffic.

The pitfalls most business owners fall into!

The main pitfall is not planning properly. Having a logical plan so that you understand your customer journey is critical. As this journey is what will move a customer to buying from you. So many people will start the process, create great freebies, and sign up pages, then trail off at the emails and sales pages – which are arguable the most important part. I always tell my clients that 20% of funnel building is the actual technical build out, 80% is customer journey mapping.

As you build out, think about the full process your customer will go through. How can you show them you understand their needs, and could help them achieve them? How can you answer their questions before they even know to ask them? And position yourself as the expert?

This is what will set you apart from everyone else. And if you build a really good funnel, you might be able to use it for 6 months, maybe even 12. Then you might be able to tweak the messaging slightly and go again. So this really is a sound investment to make in your sales and marketing plan.

Another pitfall I see too often is trying to do TOO MUCH at once. So many small business owners want to create offers that work for every single person in their audience. When you first start you want ONE offer, ONE funnel, and ONE outcome. This will move you to making money much faster and will give you the money to invest in ads, copywriters, or VAs to make the process better.

The easiest steps to create your own.

So where do you start? As a small business owner, the first step is choosing your strategy. Understanding what you offer, who you help, and what journey you want your customer to move through. If you want to build this live with me in 90 minutes come and join my next Masterclass where we will cover this in 90 minutes!

If you want to make a start now, grab a piece of paper and ask yourself these questions – really ponder on the answers.

  1. Who do I love working with? (Type of person)
  2. What problem can I solve for this person?
  3. How do I want to go about solving their problem? (1:1, group program, online course)
  4. If someone didn’t know me, what journey would they need to go on to trust me? (what would I need to tell or show them)
  5. What would my ideal client really want to download as a freebie? (something that would instantly help them)

This will get you moving in the right direction! Making sure you are creating the right solution for the right client. And offering it to them in the right way!

You know I love hearing from you, so if you want to drop me an email with your answers to those questions please do! You can find me at jacky@jackyclarke.co.uk – I reply personally to all my emails, so let’s chat!
